CCAP (College & Career Access Pathways) courses are real Santa Rosa Junior College classes, taught by an SRJC instructor on the Windsor campus during the school day. You earn both high school and college credit for the same class.
Free college credit
No tuition, no course fee. Your credits go on an official SRJC college transcript.
It transfers
Many CCAP courses are UC/CSU-approved and can transfer to CSU, UC, community colleges, or private colleges — check each school's transfer policy.
On your schedule
Classes meet at WHS during the regular school day. No commute to a college campus.

Registration happens during set windows each semester. Watch the dates below and start early.
Talk to your counselor
Meet with your WHS counselor Barbara Finley (bfinley@wusd.org) to confirm you're eligible, that the course fits your pathway and graduation plan, and to get a recommendation. You can enroll at SRJC starting in 9th grade with a school recommendation and parent/guardian consent.
Apply to SRJC
Complete the free Santa Rosa Junior College application for your student ID, then submit the SRJC Dual Enrollment / Special Admit form with your parent/guardian and school signatures. Start at dualenrollment.santarosa.edu.
Register during the window
Register during the enrollment window — August 10–14 for Fall 2026, January 11–15 for Spring 2027. Your counselor and the SRJC dual enrollment team will help you finish.

Access your course in Canvas (SRJC's learning platform). Make sure you know when your course begins — start times vary.

Student-athletes
CCAP courses can count toward athletic eligibility (per NCS CIF) when district-approved and grades are posted on time. Keep an unweighted 2.0 GPA. Courses are scheduled earlier in the day when possible so you meet game-day academic-minute rules. Talk to WHS Athletic Director Jamie Williams (jwilliams@wusd.org).

What families ask most
When can my student start?
At SRJC, high school students can enroll starting in 9th grade with a school recommendation and your consent. (State law allows as early as 7th grade, case-by-case.) Your signature as parent/guardian is required on the enrollment form.
Does it count toward graduation?
Yes, CCAP courses can count toward WHS graduation requirements. Because it's a college course, a failing grade could affect on-time graduation — so strong support and progress monitoring matter.
How does it affect GPA & transcripts?
The grade goes on a permanent SRJC college transcript. Some districts also weight these courses (like honors/AP) on the high school transcript — weighting policies vary. Ask your counselor how WHS records it.
My student is an athlete — is that OK?
